Out-Patient / After-Care Therapy
At Wellspring, our staff has extensive training, education, and experience in
treating alcohol / substance abuse problems and eating disorders such as anorexia, bulimia, compulsive eating disorder and body dysmorphic disorder in both teens and adults. We are able to deliver focused
and effective care for individuals, couples, or families, to address the
process of establishing sobriety for alcohol/ substance abuse and a healthy diet and self image in the case of eating disorders; engaging in an effective recovery plan; and
developing comprehensive relapse prevention strategies.
After graduating from an inpatient or residential treatment facility the staff here
at Wellspring Therapy Center can further assist the individual and their loved ones with
ongoing individual, couple and family therapy. We provide help, support, and
guidance for the individual and their loved ones transitioning to a healthier lifestyle based upon the success gain while in residence.
Treatment begins with a thorough evaluation, to determine not only the factors
contributing to the alcohol/ substance abuse or eating disorder, but to also assess the impact such
abuse has on all areas of a person’s life. This evaluation then forms the basis for
developing treatment goals and objectives that are realistic, achievable, and
targeted to each individual’s unique needs and abilities.
The acquisition of constructive coping skills, combined with shifting to more
positive ways of relating to others, is central to the overall sobriety and recovery
process. All of this work is guided towards the eventual ability for the individual to manage one’s life
in an effective and satisfactory way, without intervention by others.
