I was a special education teacher for 8 years working with children and adolescents who have Learning Disabilities and Emotional Challenges. I taught children and adolescents in public school, non-public school, and at a residential treatment facility. For approximately 7 years I have provided psychotherapeutic and case management services for children and adolescents in day treatment, outpatient, and residential settings. I have worked with families, couples, and individual adults on a wide variety of life transitions. Some of those transitions include grief and loss, divorce, struggles with depression, anxiety, pre-material counseling, childhood behavioral and emotional problems, learning disabilities, developmental disabilities, and post traumatic stress disorder.
I am now the owner of a private practice corporation, Wellspring Consulting & Counseling Inc. located in downtown Carlsbad. I offer a free phone consultation, a reduced rate based on a sliding fee scale, and I also accept several health care plans.
